The Opportunity We're working with a well-established organisation looking to appoint a
Facilities Supervisor (Electrical)
to support operations across a busy distribution environment. This is a hands-on role combining technical expertise with team leadership, ensuring sites are maintained to a high standard while delivering a responsive and efficient service. You'll play a key role in overseeing maintenance activities, supervising a small team, and acting as the main point of contact for contractors on site.
Key Responsibilities Carry out electrical installations, maintenance, testing, and repairs across multiple sites Perform general maintenance duties including plumbing repairs (e.g. fixing toilets), painting & decorating, and basic fabric work Supervise and support a small on-site Facilities team Manage and prioritise jobs via the Facilities Helpdesk Act as the primary contact for contractors, ensuring works are completed safely and to standard Conduct routine maintenance on plant and equipment Maintain accurate records to ensure compliance with regulations Ensure all work adheres to Health & Safety standards, including COSHH, fire safety, and manual handling Participate in an on-call rota (£175 per on-call) Assist with sourcing and transporting parts or materials when needed
About You We're looking for someone who is both technically strong and happy to get stuck into a variety of tasks. Essential: Recognised electrical qualification Ability to carry out both electrical work and general maintenance tasks (plumbing fixes, painting, basic repairs, etc.) Previous experience within a distribution, warehouse, or industrial environment Strong practical, hands-on skillset Ability to prioritise workloads and manage competing deadlines Confident communicator, able to work with stakeholders at all levels Desirable: Experience supervising or managing a small team Familiarity with facilities helpdesk systems Intermediate IT skills (e.g. Excel) Understanding of budgets and cost control
