Salary: Unqualified: £28,255 - £29,913 per annum
Qualified: £29,923 - £32,623 per annum

(Applicants are usually appointed at the bottom of the relevant band)

About the Service

Solace provides safe refuge and move-on accommodation to hundreds of women and children made homeless through domestic or sexual abuse. We run 22 refuges across London, including specialist spaces for women with multiple needs. This role involves working across two refuges in Camden, in a dynamic and fast-paced environment.

About the Role

The primary role of a Family Support Worker is to provide effective, efficient, and supportive services to children and their mothers residing in refuge with Solace Women’s Aid. The staff member will lead on developing a child and family-centered approach, including:

About You

The ideal candidate will have experience working with vulnerable children, young people, and families, and knowledge of domestic abuse effects on young people. You should be familiar with assessment, action planning, evaluation, and record-keeping. Ability to work independently and with other agencies to promote family and child wellbeing is essential.
