At Sodexo, we believe quality of life begins with those who care for others.Our specialist teams play a vital role in delivering non-clinical services across NHS Trusts — and we’re looking for a dedicated Field Service Engineer Biomedical to join our biomedical engineering team at MTS supporting Queen Victoria Hospital and other Kent sites.

In this role, you’ll provide both planned and corrective maintenance on a broad range of medical devices — helping ensure the safety, reliability, and performance of the equipment healthcare professionals rely on every day.

What You'll Do:

Carry out Planned Preventive Maintenance (PPM) and corrective repairs on a range of biomedical equipment

Follow manufacturers’ guidelines and industry standards for servicing and repairs

Accurately complete service records, repair reports, and administrative tasks in line with our QMS (Quality Management System)

Collaborate with the Team Leader and Service Manager to exceed Key Performance Indicators (KPIs)

Liaise with customers and subcontractors, providing a high standard of support and communication

Maintain tools, test equipment, and stock levels effectively

Identify areas for improvement in productivity and service delivery

Ensure safe working practices and compliance with Health & Safety protocols at all times

What You Bring:

A qualification in engineering, electronics, or biomedical engineering

2–3 years of hands-on experience servicing a wide range of medical devices (e.g. patient monitors, infusion pumps, defibrillators, anaesthesia equipment, surgical tables)

A strong understanding of KPIs, QMS processes, and technical documentation

Excellent organisational, problem-solving and communication skills

A proactive attitude and ability to work both independently and as part of a wider engineering team

Full UK driving licence (essential)
