Field Service Engineer – Automated Systems

Location: North / West London (Luton / Watford area) Salary: £35,000 Basic salary. Up to £50,000 OTE including overtime & callouts Contract: Permanent, Full-Time

Overview

Guided Talent is recruiting for an experienced Field Service Engineer to support a growing engineering operation across the North and West London region. This role focuses on the installation, maintenance, and repair of automated access and security systems across varied client sites.

This is a highly varied position offering strong earning potential and long-term development for the right engineer.

Key Responsibilities

* Service, repair, and commission automated systems on customer sites

* Respond to breakdowns and scheduled maintenance visits

* Diagnose electrical, mechanical, and control system faults

* Complete digital service documentation and reports

* Carry out site surveys and technical assessments

* Participate in on-call rota and reactive support

* Maintain high standards of safety, quality, and customer service

Skills & Experience

* Apprenticeship-trained engineer or equivalent field service background

* Proven experience in fault finding and installation work

* Ability to work independently in a mobile role

* Strong customer-facing communication skills

* Full UK driving licence
