To support our growing fleet and customer base, we are seeking skilled *Field Service Engineers* to join our dynamic team at multiple locations across the UK.
* Bristol, Cumbernauld, Hebburn (HQ), Meriden, North London, Exeter, Port of Tyne, Port Talbot, Reading, Wakefield, Warrington, Maidstone
*The Role*
As a Field Service Engineer with HCMUK, you will be responsible for the maintenance, repair, and servicing of a variety of mobile plant equipment, ensuring optimal functionality and safety standards. This role requires proficiency in diagnosing mechanical issues, performing repairs, and conducting preventive maintenance tasks on the Hitachi range of machinery used in construction, agriculture, or industrial settings.

*Responsibilities:*
* Troubleshoot and fault find any defects on machines and carry out repairs as necessary. * Utilise diagnostic tools and equipment to pinpoint problems accurately. * Conducting maintenance and repairs at customer sites on various models of Hitachi machinery. * Identify and replace faulty parts, ensuring adherence to manufacturer specifications. * Carry out routine servicing to prevent breakdowns and extend the lifespan of equipment. * Ensure that service reports, time sheets etc. are completed correctly and submitted on time. * Generate digital reports outlining equipment condition, repair history, and recommendations. * Reporting any warranty issues promptly. * Engage with customers to understand their maintenance requirements, concerns, and priorities. * Keep customers informed about status of maintenance activities and any delays or issues.
*Knowledge, Skills & Abilities*
_Essential_
* Full UK Driving Licence. * Experienced time served mobile Field Service Engineer. * Excellent diagnostic and reporting skills and show good attention to detail. * Proven track record working on modern Hydraulic Excavators and Wheel loaders. * Experienced in troubleshooting modern hydraulic systems and diesel engines. * Ability to work under pressure, with the aptitude to think on your feet and resolve issues. * Excellent IT skills required with a good ability to analyse fault code data.
_Preferred_
* Previous experience working within an OEM dealership. * Experience working on large size mobile earthmoving equipment in a quarry environment. * Quarry and Safety passport holder. * IPAF card holder. * CSCS card holder.
