Field Service Engineer

Role Overview An opportunity has arisen for a Field Service Engineer to support a growing portfolio of advanced CNC and precision engineering equipment across the UK.
The role will focus on delivering high-quality service, maintenance and technical support to customers, ensuring equipment reliability and performance standards are consistently met. This is a field-based position involving nationwide travel with occasional overnight stays.
Key Duties
* Perform planned maintenance, inspections and technical upgrades on precision CNC equipment
* Diagnose and repair mechanical and electrical faults on customer sites
* Respond to breakdowns and restore equipment to operational status within agreed timeframes
* Assist with machine installations, commissioning and refurbishment projects where required
* Complete service documentation and maintain accurate technical records
* Provide professional and responsive customer support
* Liaise with internal technical teams to resolve complex issues and maintain service standards
Skills & Experience Required
Engineering apprenticeship or relevant technical qualification
Multi-skilled engineering background with strong mechanical knowledge
Experience working on CNC machinery, precision equipment or other capital machinery within manufacturing environments
Confident fault-finding across electrical and mechanical systems
Full UK driving licence
Self-motivated with the ability to manage workload independently
Flexible to travel throughout the UK, including occasional overnight stays
Strong communication skills and a professional customer-facing manner
Salary Up to £45,000 per annum, depending on experience
