Key Responsibilities & Tasks Carry out planned and reactive maintenance, fault finding, and repair of large reciprocating generators and associated plant. Lead engine overhauls, including replacement of major components such as cylinder heads, pistons, turbochargers, and pumps. Support commissioning and recommissioning of generating assets and associated equipment. Maintain and repair mechanical, electrical, and heat systems including pumps, motors, and control systems. Assist and guide Operations staff with maintenance, breakdowns, and fault diagnosis. Ensure availability of spare parts, manage stock control, and minimise unnecessary costs. Follow HSQE standards, company procedures, and ensure compliance with legislation. Participate in call-out support for breakdowns and minimise downtime of generation assets. Monitor performance, conduct emissions checks, complete documentation, and support audits. Skills & Requirements Strong experience with overhaul of reciprocating engines in a field service environment. Knowledge of generator systems (e.g. MWM, CAT, MTU desirable). Electrical, mechanical, and heat system maintenance experience. Experience with control systems (12V DC - 415V AC). Proven fault finding and diagnostic skills.
