The Role
This role plays a critical part in ensuring seamless IT operations within a fast paced corporate environment. As an onsite Field Service Technician, you will support end users by maintaining, troubleshooting, and improving a wide range of IT hardware, software, network components, and collaboration technologies.
You will contribute directly to business productivity by restoring systems quickly, maintaining asset accuracy, and ensuring compliance with IT security and safety standards.
The role provides exposure to modern workplace technologies, enterprise grade device ecosystems, and multi site operational environments - enabling hands on experience with cutting edge hardware, mobile platforms, AV systems, and network equipment used across today's digital workplaces.
Your responsibilities:
Provide onsite IT support for corporate office users, ensuring timely resolution of hardware, software, and connectivity issues. Install, configure, and maintain IT hardware including desktops, laptops, printers, mobile devices, network equipment, and AV systems. Troubleshoot system performance, network connectivity, and device level faults with a strong focus on reducing downtime. Perform system updates, backups, and scheduled preventive maintenance to improve reliability and reduce recurring incidents. Manage hardware asset inventory, including shipping, receiving, and tracking of IT equipment across locations. Document all service activities, resolutions, and root causes clearly in the ticketing tool. Coordinate with remote IT teams to escalate and resolve complex technical issues efficiently. Lead onsite installation activities while ensuring adherence to safety regulations and customer compliance standards. Travel to additional sites when required to support installation projects, emergencies, or operational needs. Follow all site specific safety rules and maintain professionalism while representing the IT team onsite. Your Profile
Essential skills/knowledge/experience:
Strong hands on experience supporting end user hardware such as desktops, laptops, mobile phones, tablets, iPads, printers, and AV devices. Proficiency in troubleshooting Windows, macOS, iOS, Android, and common enterprise applications. Solid understanding of networking basics, including connectivity troubleshooting and device configuration. Experience performing system updates, backups, preventive maintenance, and hardware repairs. Ability to document technical issues and resolutions accurately in IT ticketing systems. Experience coordinating with remote teams for escalations and advanced troubleshooting. Strong problem solving skills with the ability to diagnose root causes and implement effective solutions. Knowledge of IT security principles, compliance requirements, and safe work practices. Ability to lift up to 25 lbs and perform physical tasks involved in equipment installation. Valid driving licence with the ability to travel between sites and respond to emergency support requirements. Desirable skills/knowledge/experience:
Familiarity with Apple iPad and Android tablet configuration and support. Experience supporting AV systems and conference room technologies. Exposure to asset lifecycle management processes. Prior experience in enterprise or multi site IT field service environments. Knowledge of modern workplace tools and cloud based collaboration platforms.
