Interv_l are working on behalf of a long standing client who are looking for a Field Service Engineers as they continue to expand their UK operations.


They operate across installation, O&M, and network delivery, supporting both AC and DC charging infrastructure. You will be covering a patch, in this case it will be the South of England, however there will be occasions where you may have to travel elsewhere to support.


If you’re a field engineer looking to break into EV, this is one of the more accessible and well-supported routes in.


The Role

You’ll be responsible for the maintenance and repair of EV charging equipment across your region.


This will include:

  • Reactive fault finding and repair
  • Planned preventative maintenance (PPMs)
  • Diagnosing electrical and component-level issues (including PCB-level work)
  • Covering a regional patch with autonomy
  • Occasional travel and overnight stays


What They’re Looking For

EV experience is not required.


They’re keen to speak with engineers from backgrounds such as:

  • ATM / EPOS
  • Gaming machines
  • Coffee machines
  • Vending / retail equipment
  • Digital / outdoor media screens
  • Any field-based, customer-facing engineering role


Key requirements:

  • Experience as a Field Service Engineer
  • Strong electrical fault-finding ability
  • Understanding of PCBs
  • Comfortable using multimeters / testing equipment
  • Full UK driving licence


Package & Benefits

  • £32,000 – £41,000 base salary
  • Electric company vehicle (available for personal use)
  • Door-to-door pay
  • Overtime:
  • Time and a half
  • Double time after 4+ hours in a day
  • Weekends paid at double time
  • Optional on-call rota (£200 per week)
  • Tools and equipment provided
  • 40-hour working week

  • Manufacturer training across Europe
  • Structured onboarding into EV charging systems
