As part of their Finance team, you'll be joining a team that's passionate about making a difference and driving financial excellence. Your new roleAs Finance Manager, you'll play a pivotal leadership role in shaping and delivering financial strategy. Reporting to the Director of Finance, you'll oversee budgeting, treasury management, financial reporting, and compliance. You'll lead a high-performing and experienced finance team, coaching and empowering colleagues to deliver accurate, efficient, and value-driven services.Key responsibilities include:Preparing management and annual accountsLeading budget setting and financial planningEnsuring robust financial governance and internal controlsDriving continuous improvement and innovation in finance systems and processesSupporting strategic decision-making and business planningRepresenting Finance at committee meetings and regulatory submissionsRequirement of 3 days per week office based in Dumfries. Our client provides all necessary IT equipment and financial support to set up a productive home workspace. They operate a home, roam and hub model with a 'HUB' facility in central Dumfries.What you'll need to succeed A degree-level qualification in Accounting or Finance (essential)A leadership qualification (ILM Level 3 or equivalent experience)Professional accounting membership (ACCA, CIPFA, CIMA) or working towardsAt least 3 years' experience in finance managementStrong knowledge of financial regulations, governance, and risk managementExcellent analytical, reporting, and problem-solving skillsA proactive, self-motivated mindset with the ability to work independentlyYou'll also need a valid UK driving licence and access to a vehicle for travel.What you'll get in return A competitive salary £40,409-£46,856, with annual progression based on performance.
