Finance Manager/Controller (Recruitment Business) Up to £75k + Benefits

Location: London City (4 days onsite)

We’re working with a high-growth, international recruitment business that’s scaling quickly across multiple markets. Finance is central to how they operate, not just reporting numbers, but influencing decisions, managing risk and supporting growth.


This is a role for someone who wants to step into a position of genuine responsibility.

You’ll take ownership of the finance function, bringing structure, clarity and leadership to a team that’s already performing but needs someone to elevate it further. You’ll be working closely with senior leadership, contributing to key decisions and helping shape how the business grows from here.


The environment is fast-paced, collaborative and energetic. You’ll be partnering closely with non-finance stakeholders, so the ability to communicate clearly, build relationships and challenge constructively will be just as important as your technical grounding.

This isn’t a “sit back and maintain” role. It’s an opportunity to step into something with momentum and help drive it forward.


What you’ll be doing

You’ll take ownership of the monthly reporting cycle, ensuring accuracy, clarity and confidence in the numbers, while also improving how things are done as the business scales.

You’ll oversee cashflow and working capital, supporting decision-making across multiple entities and currencies, and building stronger processes around financial control and forecasting.

Alongside this, you’ll lead and develop a small team, bringing structure, accountability and direction, while acting as a key point of contact for both internal stakeholders and external partners.

You’ll also play a role in wider business initiatives, supporting growth projects, improving systems and contributing ideas that enhance performance.


What we’re looking for

You’ll already have a strong grounding in management accounts and financial reporting, and be comfortable owning month-end processes end-to-end.

You’ll bring a level of presence and confidence that allows you to step into a leadership role -someone who can take ownership, make decisions and be relied upon without constant oversight.

Just as importantly, you’ll be commercially aware. You’ll enjoy understanding how a business makes money and be comfortable working alongside sales or operational teams to support better decision-making.

Experience within a multi-entity or international environment will be helpful, but mindset and approach will matter just as much as background.
