Sue Ross Recruitment are delighted to partner with a respected and growing organisation based in Rotherham, in their search for a Finance Manager. This is a pivotal role within the company, offering the chance to shape processes, influence financial decision-making, and become the go-to expert for their Sage 200 system.
About the Role
As Finance Manager, you will be the heartbeat of the company’s financial operations. You’ll play a crucial role in keeping systems accurate and up to date, managing cash flow, and ensuring smooth month-end reporting. Working closely with the Managing Director, you’ll oversee financial processes, support all departments with Sage 200 compliance, and ensure the business is always audit-ready.
This role combines responsibility, autonomy, and the opportunity to make a real impact.
Key Responsibilities
* Input and manage financial data within Sage 200
* Oversee P&L reporting and reconcile the Trial Balance
* Carry out full credit control and cash management for customers and dealers
* Chase supplier statements and ensure all invoices are in place
* Take full ownership of reconciliation and month-end reporting
* Support company admin processes (insurance, financing, documentation)
* Liaise with company accountants on VAT and tax matters
* Prepare the business for the 2027 trading year audit
* Maintain accurate filing of financial and despatch paperwork
* Perform additional duties as required to support business operations
About You
We’re looking for a motivated, detail-focused and proactive professional with:
* Experience using Sage 200
* Proven experience within a finance department
* Professional finance qualifications (AAT, ACCA, CIMA or similar) desirable, but not essential
* Strong experience in month-end close and producing management accounts
* A methodical, process-driven approach
* The confidence to work across both office and warehouse environments
* A team-focused mindset and the ability to work in a small, supportive team
* Initiative, reliability, and a commitment to maintaining high standards
