Halliday Marx have partnered exclusively with a London based Building management, services and work place solutions company to hire a new Number 1 in finance.

This role is very much a Finance Business Partner to the Group and Financial Controller to the company.

\nReporting to the 2 MDs and with a dotted line to the Group CFO, this role is 3 days in (flexible) the the central London office.

Key Responsibilities
\n
\nFinancial Control & Reporting
\n
\nCoordinate with the payroll company and review/post payroll entries
\n
\nPrepare monthly financial statements and board/financial packs
\n
\nReview general ledger and balance sheet reconciliations, including accruals, prepayments, deferred and accrued income, etc.
\n
\nReview cash flow forecasts
\n
\nAnalyse variances against budget/forecast
\n
\nPrepare rolling monthly forecast
\n
\nSubmit monthly pension contributions and prepare yearly P11D information
\n
\nLead the financial budgeting cycle
\n
\nConduct monthly commercial reviews with project managers
\n
\nSupport pricing decisions through margin analysis and cost modelling
\n
\nConduct financial modelling, scenario planning, and other ad-hoc analyses
\n
\nPrepare and submit VAT returns
\n
\nCoordinate with external auditors for annual audits
\n
\nEnsure compliance with internal controls and accounting standards
\n
\nMonitor and manage timesheet submissions
\n
\nApprove and review weekly payment runs
\n
\nRequirements
\n
\nFully qualified accountant
\n
\nIdeally Minimum 1 years of post-qualified experience, ideally in a similar role
\n
\nStrong technical accounting and financial reporting knowledge
\n
\nDemonstrated experience in budgeting, forecasting, and cash flow management
\n
\nAdvanced Excel skills
\n
\nExperience with Xero and Project Management systems an advantage
\n
\nStrong interpersonal and communication skills
\n
\nAbility to manage multiple priorities in a fast-paced environment
\n
\nExperience in a project-based or service-driven business is an advantage
