Axon Moore have exclusively partnered with an SME manufacturing business based in Tameside who are seeking a driven and commercially minded Financial Controller to lead the finance function, reporting directly to the Finance Director. This is a key leadership role, offering the opportunity to influence decision-making and drive financial performance within a fast-paced, operational environment.
The Role You will take full ownership of the site’s financial operations, ensuring robust financial control, accurate reporting, and the delivery of meaningful insights to support strategic and operational decisions. Acting as a trusted business partner to senior leadership, you will play a central role in improving performance, efficiency, and profitability.
Key Responsibilities
Lead the month-end close process and produce accurate, timely management accounts Maintain full balance sheet ownership, ensuring reconciliations and controls are robust Deliver budgeting, forecasting, and cash flow management, including variance analysis Provide insightful financial analysis to support commercial and operational decision-making Oversee product costing, margin analysis, and manufacturing variances Manage capex processes, including evaluation, tracking, and post-investment reviews Drive working capital improvements across inventory, debto...
