Job Description
We are partnering with a leading manufacturer in the FMCG sector, known for its innovative approach and commitment to excellence, to recruit a Financial Controller. This position and will play a pivotal role in driving the financial strategy and performance of the manufacturing facility based in Newport, South Wales.
As Financial Controller, you will be responsible for overseeing the financial operations of the business unit, leading a team of finance professionals, and ensuring compliance with internal controls and reporting standards. This role offers the chance to influence key business decisions and drive financial performance in a dynamic environment.
Responsibilities Include:
- Manage the financial accounting and reporting processes in line with company policies and deadlines.
- Provide early insights into performance gaps through comprehensive financial and operational analysis.
- Lead the business unit's financial planning processes, including budgeting and forecasting.
- Maintain the integrity of the business unit's balance sheet and fixed asset register.
- Act as the key contact for financial matters within the business unit, supporting ad-hoc projects as required.
Skills and Attributes:
- ACA/CIMA or ACCA qualified with a significant post-qualification experience in a FMCG or complex manufacturing environment.
- Strong strategic planning, analytical, and problem-solving skills
- Excellent communication and influencing abilities to work effectively across functions
- Experience in managing a finance team and driving process improvements
- Proficient in using financial systems and software, with SAP experience highly desirable.
What's on offer:
£70,000 - £75,000 + benefits to include car allowance and bonus.
