Financial Controller

• Location: Newcastle upon Tyne
• Permanent staff position
• Salary:£55,000 per annum
• Hours MonFri, 95 (Flexible working available)

Were looking for a commercially focused Financial Controller to join a growing manufacturing SME and play a key role on the Senior Leadership Team.

This isnt just a reporting role. Youll partner with the MD, drive profitability, strengthen financial governance, and lead a small, capable finance team.

What youll be doing:

• Lead the finance function end-to-end
• Drive manufacturing costing & margin performance
• Oversee monthly reporting, statutory accounts & VAT
• Manage cashflow forecasting & invoice finance
• Develop and mentor a Finance Business Partner & Assistant

What were looking for:

• ACA / ACCA / CIMA (or QBE)
• 510 years experience in manufacturing or stock-led environments
• Strong standard costing & absorption knowledge
• Advanced Excel & ERP skills (SAGE a bonus)
• Hands-on, commercially sharp, sleeves-rolled-up mindset
