We are partnering with a fast-growing, contract-led services business to recruit a Group Financial Controller. This is a high-impact role within a dynamic and evolving environment, offering the opportunity to shape and modernise the finance function.The business is currently in the early stages of its finance transformation journey, with a number of processes still manual. As such, this role will suit a hands-on, forward-thinking finance leader who enjoys driving change, improving controls, and implementing scalable, automated solutions.Reporting to the Finance Director, you will take ownership of group financial reporting, controls, and team leadership, while playing a key role in enhancing processes and supporting continued growth.Key ResponsibilitiesLead the group month‑end close process, ensuring accurate and timely reporting across multiple entitiesOversee the preparation of consolidated financial statements and statutory accountsOwn the balance sheet, ensuring robust reconciliations and strong financial controlManage and develop a high‑performing finance team, fostering a culture of accountability and continuous improvementPartner with operational and commercial stakeholders to provide insight and support decision‑makingDrive improvements in financial processes, systems, and controls, reducing reliance on manual activitySupport the implementation of new systems and automation initiatives as part of the wider finance transformationAct as the key contact for external auditors, leading the year‑end audit processEnsure compliance with relevant accounting standards, policies, and governance frameworksLead on cash flow management, working capital optimisation, and financial risk managementAbout YouFully qualified accountant (ACA, ACCA, or CIMA)Proven experience in a Financial Controller or Group Financial Controller role within a multi‑entity environmentBackground in a contract‑led or service‑based business is highly advantageousStrong technical accounting knowledge with experience of group consolidationsHands‑on approach, comfortable operating in environments where processes are still developingTrack record of driving process improvements, system implementations, or finance transformation initiativesStrong leadership capability, with experience building and developing teamsExcellent stakeholder management skills, with the ability to influence at all levelsProactive, resilient, and adaptable in a fast‑paced, evolving businessSalary & BenefitsPerformance‑related bonusOpportunity to play a key role in shaping a growing finance function #J-18808-Ljbffr
