In this pivotal role, you will collaborate closely with the Group Financial Controller and oversee a wide range of finance functions, including bookkeeping, management accounting, and payroll administration. You will also manage a small team of credit controllers. This role requires a proactive, technically adept individual with exceptional attention to detail.Key Responsibilities:Accurate recording and maintenance of financial transactions.Process invoices, receipts, payments, and other financial transactions in a timely manner.Reconcile bank accounts, credit cards, and financial records to ensure alignment with company policies and accounting standards.Prepare VAT returns and submissions under review by the Group Financial Controller, ensuring compliance with HMRC regulations.Manage accounts payable while ensuring accuracy and efficiency in processing.Support accounts receivable as needed.Management Accounting:Support in preparing monthly management accounts and provide detailed financial reports for senior leadership.Assist in annual budget preparation and monitor financial performance against set targets, identifying areas for improvement.Prepare cash flow forecasts in collaboration with the Group Financial Controller and CFO to align with financial forecasts.Provide financial analysis to support strategic decision-making and business growth.General Accounting & Compliance:Assist with year-end financial processes, audits, and tax preparation to ensure all financial documentation complies with accounting standards.Maintain accurate and up-to-date financial records, ensuring they conform to UK accounting regulations.Liaise with external auditors, accountants, and other financial professionals as required to ensure accurate reporting.Cross-functional collaboration to ensure financial data contributes to effective decision-making.Additional Responsibilities:Proactively offer financial analysis and recommendations to support business strategy and operational enhancements.Contribute to continuous improvement initiatives in internal financial processes, reporting systems, and controls.Collaborate across teams to align financial goals with operational objectives.Requirements:Minimum 4-5 years' experience in Management Accounting / Bookkeeping roles.AAT qualified or ACCA/CIMA part-qualified.Strong knowledge of UK accounting standards, VAT regulations, PAYE, and financial reporting.Advanced proficiency in accounting software (e.g., Xero, Sage, QuickBooks) and Microsoft Excel, with high formula knowledge.Excellent communication skills for presenting financial information to non-financial stakeholders.Proactive and solution-driven attitude, with excellent attention to detail and organisational skills.Benefits:25 days of annual leave plus public holidays.Pension, health cash plan, and employee assistance program.Professional development opportunities and further qualification support.Dynamic team environment in modern offices.Work Details:Monday to Friday - 37.5 Hours per week.Ferndown Work Location.
