Fire Alarm Engineer covering the Bristol and South Wales region

Salary : £35,000 - £45,000 dependent on experience

Key Responsibilities

• Carry out routine servicing, testing, and planned preventative maintenance of fire alarm systems

• Diagnose faults and complete repairs efficiently to minimise system downtime

• Ensure systems comply with relevant safety standards and legal requirements

• Complete service reports, certification, and maintenance records accurately

• Liaise with clients on site, explaining findings and recommending remedial work where necessary

• Support system upgrades, small installations, and commissioning when required

• Follow health & safety procedures and maintain safe working practices at all times

Typical Skills & Requirements

• Experience working with conventional and addressable fire alarm systems

• Knowledge of relevant standards (e.g. BS 5839)

• Strong fault-finding and problem-solving skills

• Good communication and customer service abilities

• Ability to work independently and manage workload effectively

• Full UK driving licence typically required
