Fire & Security Installation Engineer

We are working with a well-established Fire & Security business who are looking to add an experienced Installation Engineer to their team. This is a great opportunity to join a stable company that values quality of work, reliability, and long-term staff retention.

The Role

You will be responsible for installation work across a range of Fire & Security systems, working on both small corrective installs and larger project-based works. The role will include occasional working away from home depending on project requirements.

Key Requirements

We are looking for an experienced engineer with strong knowledge of: CCTV (IP Based systems)

- ideally Hikvision, Avigilon, Axis Intruder Alarms

- Texecom, Orisec, Galaxy Access Control

- Paxton, CAME BPT Fire Alarms

- Apollo, Advanced, Kentec Additional expectations: Good timekeeping and reliability Neat, tidy and professional appearance Ability to work independently and as part of a team Willingness to travel and work away when required

Location

The role is based out of the Ringwood area, so candidates should be within a reasonable commute. Work is primarily across Hampshire, Dorset, Wiltshire, with occasional projects in surrounding regions including London, Surrey, Somerset, Wales, and rare international work.

Package & Benefits

Salary: £38,000 - £42,000 (with potential for increase once established) 25 days holiday + bank holidays

Standby & Overtime

1 in 3 standby rota £20 weekday / £35 weekend and bank holidays (£170 weekly allowance) Callouts and overtime are rare, as the business prioritises work-life balance When required, callouts are paid door-to-door at time and a half Please note: travel time is not paid due to the nature of the business model, however this is offset by a stronger base salary and early finish opportunities where possible.
