Job Title: Fire Safety Manager

Location: Hybrid (2 days in Welwyn Garden City, London, Reading or Southampton, rest from home)

Type: Permanent, full-time (37.5 hpw), Monday to Friday

Salary: Circa £58,000 pa (negotiable), plus benefits including health cash plan

Description: As a Fire Safety Manager in the Building Safety Team, you will play a vital role in ensuring the safety of our customers and homes. You will lead fire safety inspections, manage contractors, and ensure compliance with safety standards. You will also provide practical fire safety advice to colleagues, contribute to safety reports, and help foster a safety-conscious culture.

Responsibilities:

• Lead fire safety inspections, manage contractors, review assessment quality
• Identify trends and risks early, take preventative actions
• Oversee remedial work and post-inspection checks
• Prepare for audits and handle regulatory reporting
• Train colleagues on fire safety responsibilities
• Contribute to safety case reports and compliance data

Candidate Requirements:

• Experience in fire risk assessment and inspection programs
• Level 4 Diploma in Fire Risk Assessment or NEBOSH Fire Certificate (or similar)
• Ability to manage contractors and challenge performance
• Knowledge of Fire Safety Order and Building Safety Act
• Experience leading audits, investigations, and regulatory reporting
• Strong communication skills supporting a safety culture

• Work schedule includes occasional evening work and flexible hours
• Requires a vehicle insured for business use; mileage paid
• Enhanced DBS check required (paid for by us)
