Our client, is currently seeking a Flood Risk Engineer to join their team based in Bristol..

Key Responsibilities:

• Fulfil the council's duty as the Lead Local Flood Authority
• Provide consultation responses to planning applications concerning surface water flood risk and drainage
• Track and monitor consultations from the Local Planning Authority
• Provide responses within 21 days of receiving consultations
• Collaborate with team members and other stakeholders to ensure effective flood risk management
• Participate in office team days on Mondays for collaborative work

Job Requirements:

• Experience in flood risk engineering and flood risk management
• Strong understanding of surface water flood risk and drainage
• Excellent communication skills, both written and verbal
• Proficiency in tracking and monitoring consultation responses
• Ability to provide timely and accurate responses within set deadlines
• Capability to work both independently and as part of a team
• Flexibility to work from home with occasional office days
