Food Production Operative – Nights Location: Nantwich Area (CW5 7PE) Hours: 6pm – 6am (Night Shift) Start Date: ASAP Contract Type: Temporary Ongoing Pay Rate: £12.21 per hour

About the Role KPI Recruiting are looking for a hardworking and reliable Cutting Room Operative to join a well-established food production facility in the Nantwich area. This is a fantastic opportunity to work in a supportive production environment, handling the preparation, cutting, and packing of cheese products.
You will work in a mild temperature-controlled setting and be responsible for manual handling, machinery operation, and maintaining high hygiene standards.
Key Responsibilities Heavy Lifting & Handling
Safely lift and move cheese blocks weighing up to 25kg

Handball cheese onto cutting machinery

Cheese Preparation & Processing
Operate cutting equipment safely and efficiently

Prepare cheese for vacuum packing and further processing

Maintain excellent hygiene and follow food safety protocols

Vacuum Packing & Packing
Operate vacuum packing machinery

Pack cheese products to company quality standards

Stock Control & Orders
Accurately make up customer orders

Monitor stock levels and report discrepancies

Hygiene & Food Safety
Maintain cleanliness of work areas and equipment

Adhere to all food hygiene and safety procedures

Requirements Essential
Physically fit and able to lift up to 25kg regularly

Previous experience in food production or warehousing

Strong attention to detail and ability to follow instructions

Team player with a positive work ethic

Comfortable working in a temperature-controlled environment (5°C–12°C)

Desirable
Experience working with cheese or dairy products

Food Safety Level 2 (or willingness to obtain)

Experience in stock control or order picking
