The council in Dorset are seeking a qualified Environmental Health Officer to support the Food team, with a primary focus on:

* Food‑related complaint investigations

* Health & Safety complaint work

There may also be a requirement to carry out food hygiene inspections as part of complaint investigations, so candidates must hold the appropriate food competencies.

The Ideal Candidate Will Have

* A minimum of 2 years’ experience in a relevant Environmental Health / Food Safety role

* Food competency to undertake inspections where required

* EHRB registration (or equivalent / successor), ideally

* Up‑to‑date CPD and professional competencies

* A thorough, professional approach to complaint handling and enforcement investigations
