TEMPORARY COUNTERBALANCE FORKLIFT OPERATOR

IMMEDIATE START: Thursday, 2nd of January 2026

LOCATION: Slough / Greater Thames Valley Area DURATION: 2 Weeks Fixed Term (Maternity Cover Support) PAY RATE: £13.00 Per Hour

The Role

We require a reliable and certified Counterbalance Forklift Operator to provide critical, short-term support commencing in the new year. This role is essential for ensuring smooth operations during the initial phase of an internal Maternity Leave and demands a high commitment to safety within our busy logistics environment in the Slough area.

Key Responsibilities

Material Handling: Execute the safe and efficient movement of palletized goods using a Counterbalance Forklift, including loading, unloading, stacking, and internal transport.

Safety & Compliance: Strictly adhere to all established site safety regulations and operational procedures. Perform mandatory pre-shift checks on the MHE (Material Handling Equipment), promptly documenting and reporting any faults.

Warehouse Support: Collaborate closely with the existing warehouse team on inventory placement and retrieval to ensure operational continuity and order fulfillment accuracy.

Essential Qualifications and Experience

Certification: Possession of a current and recognized Counterbalance Forklift Licence (RTITB, ITSSAR, or equivalent accredited body).

Experience: Proven professional experience operating MHE in a fast-paced warehousing or distribution setting.

Reliability: Demonstrated punctuality and commitment to completing the full two-week temporary role.

Salary and Pay Structure

Pay Rate: £13.00 per hour
