Location: Preston Shift Pattern: 4 on / 4 off Hours: 12-hour shifts Pay Rate: £16.00 per hour
We are currently recruiting for a skilled Workshop Forklift Engineer to join our team at our Preston workshop. This role offers a consistent shift pattern and competitive hourly rate within a stable working environment.
Key Responsibilities:
Servicing, maintaining, and repairing forklift trucks within a workshop setting
Diagnosing mechanical, hydraulic, and electrical faults
Carrying out planned maintenance and breakdown repairs
Completing job reports and documentation accurately
Ensuring all work is carried out in line with health and safety standards
Requirements:
Proven experience as a Forklift Engineer or similar plant/mechanical role
Strong fault-finding skills across mechanical, hydraulic, and electrical systems
Ability to work independently within a workshop environment
A methodical approach with strong attention to detail
Relevant engineering qualifications preferred
