Location: Ark Canary Wharf Reports To: General Manager Job Type: Full-Time Salary: £40 000 Job Summary: We are seeking a highly motivated and experienced Front of House (FOH) Manager to lead our customer-facing operations and ensure an exceptional guest experience. The ideal candidate will have a passion for hospitality, excellent leadership skills, and a proven ability to manage a dynamic team in a fast-paced environment. Key Responsibilities:
Team Leadership: Recruit, train, schedule, and supervise FOH staff, including hosts and duty managers. Produce SOPs, and provide coaching and support to maintain high performance and morale. Set goals and targets to the team. Guest Experience: Ensure that every guest receives outstanding service from arrival to departure. Handle customer inquiries, complaints, and feedback professionally and efficiently.
Operational Management: Oversee day-to-day FOH operations, including opening and closing procedures, cleanliness, table setup, and adherence to company policies and standards.
Coordination & Communication: Work closely with the kitchen and back-of-house teams to ensure seamless service and smooth communication between departments.
Inventory & Supplies: Monitor FOH supplies and place orders as needed (e.g., uniforms, menus, service tools). Manage budgets and reduce waste.
Health & Safety Compliance: Ensure all FOH activities are compliant with health and safety regulations, food safety standards,
Reporting: Maintain records related to staffing, service issues, and customer satisfaction. Prepare and present reports to senior management as required. Requirements: - Proven experience in a supervisory or management FOH role (2+ years preferred) - Excellent interpersonal and communication skills - Strong leadership abilities with a hands-on, team-oriented approach - Ability to remain calm under pressure and resolve conflicts diplomatically - Knowledge of POS systems and basic budgeting principles - Flexible schedule, including availability on evenings, weekends, and holidays
Preferred Qualifications: - Hospitality or business management degree/diploma (preferably) - Experience in hotel, residences, BTR - Passion for delivering exceptional guest experiences
