Expleo are working with a major Automotive Manufacturer in Essex, who are looking to recruit a Functional Safety Systems Engineer to join their team on a contract basis. Your responsibilities will include ensuring our clients complex distributed technologies, including powertrain, infotainment, and active safety, meet the highest safety standards
Responsibilities of the Functional Safety Systems Engineer -
Collaborate with technology experts to perform Functional Safety analysis using MBSE tools.
Support global teams in designing simple, safe systems that transition advanced technology to production.
Execute ISO 26262 activities with cross-functional teams worldwide.
Model functions, interfaces, and safety behaviour in MBSE/SysML; contribute to common safety ratings and model libraries.
Develop safety concepts, system designs, and documentation for audits, reviews, and milestones.
Lead reviews with stakeholders and suppliers and drive continuous process and tool improvements.
Requirements for the Functional Safety Systems Engineer -
Degree in Electrical, Mechanical, Aerospace, Systems Engineering, or Computer Science.
ISO 26262 Proficiency including the practical application of ISO 26262 processes, methods, and tools within a product development environment.
Ability to model functions, interfaces, and safety-related behaviours using system modelling languages.
Minimum of 2 years of experience in the development of software-enabled systems.
