About the Opportunity

Prospero Teaching is currently seeking dedicated and compassionate Outreach Tutors to deliver 1:1 Functional Skills English and Maths sessions (Entry Level 3 to Level 2) to young learners who are unable to access mainstream education in Barking and Dagenham.

This role is particularly suited to tutors or teachers with experience supporting SEN students, or those who may be struggling with the demands of GCSE-level study.

As an Outreach Tutor, you will play a crucial role in helping students build their core literacy and numeracy skills, regain confidence, and prepare for future learning or qualifications.

Key Responsibilities

Deliver bespoke Functional Skills Maths and English tuition from Entry Level 3 to Level 2 Provide structured, confidence-boosting lessons in line with learners' EHCPs or individual learning plans Identify gaps in learning and adapt teaching methods to suit each student's needs and progress Build positive, professional relationships with students and their families/carers Monitor progress and provide regular feedback to Prospero Teaching and relevant stakeholdersContract/Position Details
