Futures & Options/ ETD Operations Associate (Graduate calibre with 2-5-years ETD Futures & Options/ ETD Operations experience)


Martis Search are representing a City of London based Investment Bank to hire for a permanent graduate calibre “Futures & Options/ ETD Operations Associate” with 2-5-years ETD Futures & Options/ ETD Operations experience professional to join their growing team.


This is a key role responsible for managing the full lifecycle of physically settled Futures and Options across multiple asset classes and global clearing venues.


The role is to learn ETD/ Futures & Options Deliveries which is a really exciting opportunity and exposure to a dynamic Operations role. Our client will look at anyone who is of graduate calibre and possesses 2-5-years ETD Futures & Options/ ETD Operations experience and wants to learn new products and processes.


You will play a critical part in protecting the firm from delivery risk, ensuring seamless execution through complex exchange and CCP frameworks, and supporting the expansion of our physical product offering.


This opportunity suits a commercially minded individual who combines strong operational expertise with risk awareness and the confidence to engage with brokers, exchanges, and internal stakeholders.


This unique role offers the exposure to the physical delivery of multi-asset classes such as Commodities (metals, energy, agriculture), as well as Fixed Income deliverables and even Cryptocurrencies.


The company offer a hybrid mix of “working-from-home” and also “in-the-office”, so you get the best of both worlds.


Task involved

  • Own and manage the end-to-end physical delivery process across major clearing houses including Intercontinental Exchange (ICE), CME Group (CME), Eurex, Euronext, and LCH.
  • Actively manage delivery risk around First Notice Day (FND), Last Trading Day (LTD), and option expiries, ensuring positions are monitored and actioned ahead of critical deadlines.
  • Partner with trading, risk, clearing brokers, and exchanges to coordinate delivery instructions and resolve breaks efficiently.
  • Provide daily visibility of delivery exposures, identifying and escalating potential mismatches or operational risks.
  • Assess the impact of deliveries on margin, collateral, and liquidity, working closely with treasury and collateral teams.
  • Ensure compliance with exchange rules, CCP frameworks, and applicable regulatory and sanctions regimes.
  • Contribute to process optimisation, automation initiatives, and the onboarding of new physical contracts and markets.


What We’re Looking For


  • 3+ years’ experience in physical deliveries or Futures & Options post-trade operations.
  • Strong technical knowledge of delivery mechanics, CCP frameworks, and exchange protocols.
  • Experience across commodities (metals, energy, agriculture) and/or fixed income deliverables
  • Proven ability to manage option expiries and complex delivery workflows under time pressure.
  • Hands-on familiarity with exchange and CCP platforms including ICE, CME, Eurex, Euronext, and LCH.
  • Experience with post-trade systems (XTP advantageous).
  • Commercial mindset with strong communication skills and the confidence to engage across front office, operations, and external counterparties.

Salary


Between £55 k pa - £75 k pa dependent upon experience, plus a competitive annual discretionary bonus, pension, healthcare etc
