The Vacancy

We are seeking a proactive and experienced Gas Manager to lead the day-to-day operations of our responsive maintenance contract in Barnsley. You will be responsible for managing a team of schedulers and gas engineers, ensuring compliance, quality, and performance across all aspects of the contract.

Key Accountabilities
  • Oversee the daily running of the gas contract, supported by an established team of schedulers and engineers.
  • Ensure full compliance with the Wates Operating Framework and all relevant gas safety regulations.
  • Manage quality control across internal teams and subcontractors delivering gas works.
  • Provide technical support for ongoing gas-related tasks and projects.
  • Monitor and drive team productivity to meet client KPIs for gas servicing and repairs

To Be Successful in This Role, You Will Have
  • A valid Domestic Gas Qualification.
  • Proven experience managing a gas contract.
  • Strong understanding of gas legislation and regulatory requirements.
  • SMSTS certification (Site Management Safety Training Scheme).
  • Excellent leadership and communication skills.
