The Role
As General Manager, you’ll be the driving force behind the day-to-day operation, leading from the front and setting the tone for outstanding service, quality, and culture.
You’ll inspire your team, keep standards exceptionally high, and ensure every guest leaves wanting to come back.
What you’ll be doing
- Oversee the day-to-day running of the café
- Deliver exceptional guest experiences and smooth service
- Maintain outstanding food hygiene, safety, and cleanliness standards
- Manage stock, supplier relationships, and ordering
- Drive cost control, labour management, and operational KPIs
- Review P&L performance and identify opportunities for growth
- Handle customer feedback with confidence and professionalism
- Support local marketing activity and community engagement
- Continuously improve processes as the business scales
Building a brilliant team
- Lead, coach, and develop a high-performing team

- Recruit, onboard, and train new team members

- Manage rotas, performance, and day-to-day people leadership
- Inspire your team to deliver consistently brilliant service
What we’re looking for
- Previous experience in a hospitality management or senior leadership role
- A natural people leader with a hands-on style
- Passion for food, service, and creating memorable experiences
- Commercial awareness with confidence around KPIs and P&L
- Experience in cafés, bakeries, or fast-paced hospitality environments is a plus
- Food Hygiene Level 2 or 3 preferred
