The General Manager is the human resources lead for the organisation, working closely with the Executive Director to ensure that all our people are supported from recruitment, to induction and throughout their journey with Headlong. They will take a central role in ensuring our company policies are innovative, fair and drive best practice in all areas. They will lead on internal communications and information sharing.

The General Manager will ensure that our Trustees feel well communicated with and take a lead on monitoring the data relating to our workforce and our environmental policy and action plan. The General Manager will support the Finance Director with payroll, banking and managing the administrative budgets. They will enable the organisation to work efficiently by managing the IT and phone operations and helping to create a well organised, dynamic and welcoming working environment. This is an ideal opportunity for someone looking to take the next steps in their arts management career. We are looking for someone who will enjoy being at the heart of our small but ambitious team. Your experience and knowledge will include creating the systems and environments in which people can do their best work, excellent administrative and organisational skills and sound financial management. You may have gained this experience in an administrative capacity or if in a theatre context as a company stage manager.
