Overview

We are a small, family-owned business with exciting opportunities for growth, and we are looking for an experienced, skilled and motivated Welder/Fabricator to join our team. This is a varied role that involves working independently in our main workshop and occasionally at different site locations.

As part of our team, you’ll contribute to the manufacturing of architectural metalwork, structural steelwork, and general fabrication, as well as fitting and installing finished goods on-site.

Welder Fabricator Responsibilities:

* Operate welding equipment, including MIG and MMA welding, to fabricate and assemble metal structures and components.

* Interpret technical drawings and specifications to determine the appropriate materials and processes required for each project.

* Utilise hand tools and power tools effectively to cut, shape, and weld metal parts.

* Perform quality checks on completed welds to ensure compliance with safety standards and specifications.

* Maintain a clean and organised work environment, ensuring all tools and equipment are stored properly after use.

* Collaborate with team members to troubleshoot issues during the fabrication process and suggest improvements.

* Adhere to all safety protocols while working in the workshop.

* Attendance onsite to assist with installation work & site welding

Welder Fabricator Skills:

* Proficient in MIG welding techniques in mild steel with a solid understanding of various welding processes.

* TIG welding and Stainless steel polishing experience desirable

* Strong mechanical knowledge with the ability to fabricate components from scratch.

* Experience using hand tools, power tools, and sheet metal fabrication techniques.

* Basic maths skills for measurements and calculations related to fabrication tasks.

* Ability to read and interpret technical drawings accurately.

* Excellent attention to detail with a commitment to producing high-quality work.

* Strong problem-solving skills and the ability to work collaboratively within a team environment.

* Forklift/Site equipment tickets and prior site installation experience desirable

* Full UK Drivers license
