Salary: £30,415 £38,300 (dependent on experience)

About the Role

Pertemps are delighted to be recruiting on behalf of a leading power solutions specialist for an on-site Generator / Yard Engineer to join their Bristol depot.

This is an excellent opportunity to work with one of the South Wests largest generator specialists, supporting a busy depot with the service, maintenance, and preparation of diesel generators and associated equipment for both the hire fleet and external customers.
Youll play a key role in ensuring equipment is maintained to the highest standard while delivering excellent customer service on-site and within the depot.

Key Responsibilities Prepare, service, and maintain hire fleet generators and ancillary equipment.
Diagnose faults and carry out breakdown repairs on both hire and customer-owned generators.
Attend customer sites to assist with synchronising generator setups for set-to-set and set-to-mains applications.
Assist with general yard duties, including loading/unloading equipment and operating forklifts (training provided if required).
Deliver and collect generators and equipment using company vehicles, including refuelling.
Maintain a clean and safe working environment within the yard, workshop, and vehicles.
Support site cable runs and carry out site surveys when required.
Participate in the on-call rota (currently 1 week in 4).
Liaise daily with the Depot Foreman regarding equipment, parts, and fuel requirements.
Comply with all company Health & Safety and ISO 9001:2015 procedures, contributing to continuous improvement initiatives.
Skills and Experience Proven experience working with diesel generators and strong fault-finding abilities.
Mechanical or electrical background essential.
Full UK Driving Licence (towing categories advantageous).
Forklift Licence preferred but training can be provided.
CSCS or ECS Card preferred but not essential (training available).
Excellent communication skills with a strong focus on customer satisfaction.
Ability to work independently and as part of a team.
