Job Description

AECOM is offering an exciting opportunity to join our award-winning Soil, Groundwater and Remediation Team . You'll work in a collaborative, high-performing environment that prioritises wellbeing, flexibility, and professional growth.
Our team supports a broad range of sectors - including industrial, energy, pharmaceutical, land development, ports, road, and rail - delivering services such as:
- Desk studies
- Site investigation
- Risk assessment
- Remediation strategy, design, implementation, and validation
- Environmental monitoring and close-out
Here's what you will do:
- Deliver Phase 1 environmental assessments, ground investigations, and routine monitoring tasks;
- Work independently to ensure technical quality, budget control, and programme adherence;
- Support the preparation of fee proposals for internal and external clients;
- Manage projects from desk study and feasibility, through to delivery of site investigations and data interpretation, to remediation design and delivery

Qualifications

Here's what we're looking for:
Education
- Ideally, a minimum of an undergraduate degree in an environmental, science, or engineering-based subject
- A good understanding of contaminated land assessment regulations and guidance
- Working knowledge of CDM regulations and site management
- Development of conceptual site models
- Qualitative risk assessment
- Strong written and verbal communication skills with the ability to write clear and concise technical reports and documents
- Site management
- Drilling supervision
- Collection of groundwater and ground gas samples
- Supervision of remediation activities
- Full driving licence
- Willing to travel within the UK and work away from home for periods of time
- CSCS card holder
