What you’ll be doing

• Taking ownership of ground engineering design from feasibility through to detailed design and delivery
• Developing and reviewing geotechnical parameters, ground models, and investigation strategies
• Producing desk studies, interpretive reports, and technical assessments
• Addressing design risks including soft ground, slope stability, and mining legacy issues
• Designing foundations, retaining structures, soil nails, earthworks, and more
• Representing BakerHicks in client meetings and contributing to multidisciplinary collaboration
• Supporting and mentoring junior engineers as part of a growing team

What you’ll bring

• A degree in civil engineering, geotechnical engineering, or engineering geology (or equivalent)
• Experience working on ground engineering projects within the UK
• Proficiency in geotechnical analysis and design tools (GEO5 experience is a plus)
• Understanding of ground investigation processes and risk management
• Excellent communication and report writing skills
• Progress toward chartership with ICE, GeolSoc, or equivalent (MSc or PhD desirable)
• A full UK driving licence and readiness to travel to sites when needed
