Here at Halton Housing, we are looking for an organised Governance Officer with a high attention to detail to work across our vibrant organisation.What Youll Do:Work with key stakeholders, including Leadership Team, provide a comprehensive governance support service for the Customer Committee, including meeting scheduling, agenda planning, and quality administrationAttend Committee meetings to take accurate, high quality meeting minutesProvide governance advice to ensure the Committee operates within its Terms of Reference and the organisations governing documentsPrepare Board and Committee reports on governance and regulatory mattersAct as key point of contact for Customer MembersFacilitate the recruitment, appointment and re-appointment of Customer MembersCoordinate the delivery of Customer Committee induction, appraisal and learning and development opportunitiesContribute to the planning and organising of the group wide annual meeting scheduleDeputise for the Governance and Compliance Partner on governance matters as requiredLead on ensuring compliance with the Regulator of Social Housings requirements on access to information for social housing tenantsWhat Youll Need:Proven experience in a corporate governance or corporate support role with a background in social housing or a similar regulated sectorAbility to build strong relationships with stakeholders at all levelsQualified to A-Level or equivalent and studying towards, or commitment to studying, a governance qualificationCan apply a range of problem solving, influencing, negotiation, presentation, and networking skillsExcellent written and verbal communication skillsProven ability in quality minute taking and meeting managementCan work proactively and independently to balance conflicting priorities and achieve key deadlines, targets and outcomesHighly organised with meticulous attention to detailConfident in competent usage of all Microsoft packages incl TEAMsWhat Youll Get:30 day holiday entitlement, increasing to 33 days with 3 years' service, plus bank holidaysOpportunity to buy or sell holidaysCompetitive salaryElectric Vehicle Salary Sacrifice SchemeFlexible and Hybrid workingSupported training and development opportunitiesHealth and Wellbeing Cash PlanCompetitive Pension SchemeIf you want to work in a role that makes a real impact on improving peoples lives and you know youd be a great fit, please apply today!We may close this vacancy early if we receive a high number of applications, so we encourage you to apply as soon as possible.Closing date: 17th April 2026JBRP1_UKTJ
