Teaching Assistant
- Annual Salary: £90 - £110 per day
- Location: Barking
- Job Type: Full-time
We are seeking a dedicated Teaching Assistant to join our supportive team. This role is ideal for someone passionate about providing additional support to students with Special Educational Needs and Disabilities (SEND). The position is based in a dynamic school environment in Barking, offering a rewarding opportunity to make a significant impact on students' educational experiences.
Day-to-day of the role:
- Provide tailored support to SEND students, ensuring they achieve their full potential.
- Assist in the development and implementation of Individual Education Plans (IEPs).
- Work closely with teachers to adapt materials and resources to meet the needs of students.
- Facilitate small group sessions and one-to-one support.
- Monitor and record students' progress, providing feedback to teachers and parents.
- Maintain a safe, inclusive, and supportive learning environment for all students.
Required Skills & Qualifications:
- Experience working with SEND students or in a similar educational support role.
- Strong understanding of the challenges faced by students with special educational needs.
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
- Ability to work effectively as part of a team and independently.
- Patience, empathy, and a positive, encouraging attitude.
- Relevant qualifications in education or special needs education are preferred.
