Graduate Transport Planner

The Opportunity
An established and growing transport planning consultancy is looking to appoint a Graduate Transport Planner to join its Oxfordshire-based team.
This independent consultancy provides specialist transport planning and infrastructure advice across the UK, supporting developments from early feasibility through to delivery. With a strong reputation in the development sector, the business works on a diverse range of projects including residential, commercial, education and mixed-use schemes.
This is an excellent opportunity for a graduate to begin their career in a supportive, technically strong environment, gaining hands-on experience across a wide variety of projects.
The Role
As a Graduate Transport Planner, you will support senior team members in delivering transport planning solutions for development projects.
Key responsibilities include:
Assisting in the preparation of Transport Assessments, Transport Statements and Travel Plans
Undertaking data analysis, including traffic counts and junction modelling inputs
Supporting site appraisals and feasibility studies
Preparing technical reports and drawings
Liaising with clients, local authorities and project teams
Contributing to project delivery across multiple sectorsYou will gain exposure to the full lifecycle of transport planning projects, with structured support and mentoring.
About You
Degree in Transport Planning, Civil Engineering, Geography or a related discipline
Strong analytical and problem-solving skills
Good written and verbal communication skills
Proficiency in Microsoft Office (experience with transport modelling software is advantageous but not essential)
