The Role
As Group Financial Accountant, you'll take ownership of group-level financial accounting and reporting, ensuring month-end runs smoothly and delivering accurate, timely information to senior stakeholders. You'll work closely with the Financial Controller, supporting consolidation, statutory accounts preparation, budgeting and cashflow - while also helping to embed improvements across systems and processes. Key Responsibilities Oversee month-end close, ensuring results are accurate and delivered to deadline
Prepare group consolidations and the monthly management information pack
Review financial data prepared by the wider team and post key transactions where needed
Conduct analytical reviews, KPI reporting and variance analysis
Support budgeting, forecasting and cashflow monitoring
Lead year-end consolidation and statutory accounts preparation
Liaise with auditors and resolve technical accounting queries
Maintain strong financial controls, reconciliations and compliance
Drive improvements in reporting, systems and process efficiency
About You
Fully qualified accountant (ACA / ACCA / CIMA) - at least 2-3 years PQE
Strong technical financial accounting skills, including statutory reporting and consolidation
Have experience of Group Financial Accountants and Group Consolidations Confident communicator with the ability to partner across finance and non-finance teams
Hands-on, proactive and comfortable working in a fast-paced, evolving environment
Strong Excel and systems capability
Experience in multi-entity or investment-backed environments beneficial
Able to start quickly or on short notice
