As the company enters its next phase of development, the appointment of a Group Financial Controller will play a key role in supporting both operational excellence and strategic growth.
Reporting directly to the Group Finance Director, the Group Financial Controller will sit between the Group FD and the wider finance team, providing leadership, structure and hands-on expertise across the department. The finance team currently consists of eight professionals, and this role will take day-to-day responsibility for managing, guiding and developing the team while ensuring that the function operates effectively, accurately and in line with the groups wider objectives.
This is a hands-on role requiring a confident and experienced finance professional who is comfortable operating both strategically and operationally. The successful candidate will take full ownership of the financial control environment, ensuring robust financial governance, accurate reporting, and strong adherence to statutory and regulatory requirements across group operations. This includes overseeing the preparation of annual budgets, managing periodic reforecasts, analysing variances, and supporting business leaders with data-driven financial guidance. Strong commercial awareness will be important in helping translate financial information into actionable insight for the wider organisation.
In addition to the technical aspects of the role, the successful candidate will help shape and strengthen the finance function itself. This includes mentoring and developing members of the team, refining processes and controls where necessary, and continuing to build a finance department that is both reliable in its reporting and valuable as a business partner. someone capable of maintaining full control of the department while bringing a practical, proactive and solutions-focused approach.
This opportunity would suit an experienced Financial Controller who enjoys leading teams, improving processes and ensuring strong financial discipline within a growing and evolving organisation. The role offers the chance to work closely with senior leadership, contribute to the continued development of the European finance function, and play an important part in the next stage of the companys growth.
