A fantastic opportunity has arisen for an experienced and creative Head Chef to take the reins at a brand-new gastro pub opening in the heart of Brighton.
We're working with an independent operator passionate about bringing high-quality, seasonal, British-led cuisine to a relaxed and stylish setting. With a strong focus on provenance, sustainability, and exceptional service, this is a brilliant chance for a dynamic Head Chef to build their own brigade, develop an exciting menu, and put their stamp on one of Brighton's most anticipated openings this year.
The Role:
Full control of kitchen operations from pre-opening to launch and beyond
Crafting and executing a fresh, seasonal menu with a strong gastropub identity
Recruiting, training and mentoring a skilled kitchen team
Maintaining excellent food hygiene, GP targets, and stock control
Working closely with the GM to shape the business culture and customer experience
The Ideal Candidate:
Proven experience as Head Chef or strong Sous Chef ready to step up in a high-volume, quality-driven kitchen
A real passion for fresh, seasonal, and locally sourced food
Strong leadership skills with a collaborative and hands-on approach
Sound understanding of costings, margins, and kitchen systems
Confident with menu development and launching a new concept
