Head Chef - Production Kitchen
We are looking for a talented and driven Head Chef to lead a small but highly experienced brigade within a fully functional production kitchen. This is an exciting opportunity for a chef who thrives in a fast-paced, organised environment and takes pride in delivering high-quality food and service.
About the Role
You will oversee the day-to-day running of a busy production kitchen, delivering catering services to corporate clients. The offering includes breakfast and lunch menus such as sandwiches, salads, and hot main dishes with proteins, alongside a growing grab-and-go range.
In addition, the kitchen supports delivered events and hospitality services, including canapés, working lunches, and buffets. As Head Chef, you will play a key role in ensuring consistency, quality, and timely delivery across all areas.
Key Responsibilities
Lead, motivate, and develop a skilled kitchen team
Plan and organise production to meet daily deadlines and client expectations
Oversee food quality, presentation, and consistency across all offerings
Collaborate closely with the Sous Chef to ensure full operational coverage
Maintain high standards of food safety, hygiene, and kitchen organisation
Support the growth of the business by delivering exceptional service to new and existing clients
About You
Previous experience as a Head Chef or Senior Sous Chef in a central production kitchen is highly desirable
Strong organisational and planning skills
A natural leader who works well with and supports their team
Able to manage multiple priorities and work to tight deadlines
Passionate about delivering high-quality food and excellent service
Working Hours
This is predominantly a Monday to Friday role, offering a great work-life balance. However, flexibility is required, as occasional weekend support may be needed.
Shift patterns include:
6:30am - 3:00pm
7:30am - 4:00pm
