We are seeking an exceptional Head Chef to lead the kitchen for the opening of The House Mayfair Café , a refined all-day dining concept in the heart of Mayfair. Inspired by elegant European cafés and private members club dining, the venue will offer a curated menu of elevated breakfast, brunch, light dining, sandwiches, salads, and a strong in-house pastry and bakery programme. The space reflects warm tones, intimate luxury, and timeless hospitality. This role is for a well-rounded Head Chef who is equally comfortable leading a kitchen and delivering high-quality savoury dishes, while also having strong pastry knowledge or the ability to produce exceptional pastry and baked goods. The Role We are looking for a hands-on Head Chef capable of running the entire kitchen operation from savoury menu execution to overseeing a high-quality pastry and bakery offering. You will be responsible for leading the kitchen team, maintaining high standards across all sections, and ensuring the venue delivers an exceptional all-day dining experience. The position will be available from the second half of April . Key Requirements Minimum 5 years experience in a senior kitchen role (Head Chef or Senior Sous level) Strong savoury cooking skills and experience running a professional kitchen Excellent pastry and baking ability, or strong experience overseeing pastry production Experience in premium cafés, restaurants, or members club environments Ability to lead and inspire a small, high-performing team Strong organisation, kitchen management, and cost control skills Passion for seasonal ingredients and refined presentation Responsibilities Lead and manage all kitchen operations Deliver a high-quality all-day dining menu across breakfast, lunch, and light dining Produce and oversee a refined pastry and bakery offering Maintain exceptional hygiene, organisation, and kitchen standards Recruit, train, and manage the kitchen team Work closely with management during the venue launch and opening phase What We Offer Salary up to £60,000 Opportunity to shape a new flagship venue in Mayfair Supportive ownership and professional environment Growth potential within a developing hospitality group
