Working closely with the CEO and senior leadership team, this individual will lead the business development and marketing functions, set and execute commercial strategies, and ensure alignment across departments.
The successful will take ownership of developing scalable corporate propositions, enhancing market reach, and ensuring that digital, marketing and partnership efforts directly contribute to long-term growth.
Would suit applicants from a professional services, membership, corporate training or charity background.
Hybrid working: 2 days a week in central London, 3 from home
Lead the development and execution of integrated business development and marketing strategies that drive growth across B2B and B2C channels.
Build and manage a high-performing team across business development and marketing, fostering engagement, accountability, and continuous improvement.
Develop a segmented go-to-market plan that aligns with customer needs and strategic priorities, enabling more targeted acquisition and retention efforts.
Transform and strengthen commercial processes by introducing scalable sales pipelines, key account management structures, and data-driven decision-making.
Design and deliver a comprehensive corporate proposition that combines membership and professional development offerings to appeal to large organisations and partnerships.
Professional Development, Membership, Policy, and Finance) to align commercial goals with broader organisational objectives.
Lead the adoption of digital tools and technologies to enhance customer acquisition and engagement, working closely with internal and external tech partners.
Set clear KPIs and performance metrics across all commercial functions, using insights to optimise activities and maximise ROI.
Act as a senior strategic adviser to the CEO and leadership team, contributing commercial insight and innovation to help shape the future direction of the organisation.
Senior-level experience in business development or commercial leadership within a membership, professional services, or mission-led organisation.
Strong track record of building strategic B2B relationships that drive revenue and long-term value.
Experience scaling corporate propositions and partnership models across multiple channels.
Familiar with leading digital initiatives to support sales, marketing, and customer acquisition.
Commercially astute and data-driven, with a sharp eye for market trends and opportunities.
Brings a strong external network and instinct for new partnerships and growth opportunities.
