Head of Construction – World’s Largest Solar Power Project
Site Based: Kutch, Gujarat
☀️ Mega-Scale Renewable Energy Programme | EPCM
Global Engineering Talent has been appointed as the exclusive search partner to support the delivery of the world’s largest single-site solar power project , based in India. We are now seeking a Head of Construction to lead on-site delivery for this landmark, multi-billion-dollar renewable energy programme.
This is a high-impact, site-critical leadership role , responsible for safely and efficiently delivering construction works across one of the most complex and fast-paced solar developments ever undertaken.
The Role
As Head of Construction, you will take full ownership of all on-site construction activities , leading multiple contractors and large, diverse delivery teams to ensure world-class execution.
Key responsibilities include:
Overall leadership of site-based construction delivery on a mega-scale solar and infrastructure programme
Management and coordination of multiple EPC/EPCM contractors and subcontractors
Full responsibility for construction sequencing, productivity, and programme adherence
Implementation and enforcement of quality, HSSE, and site governance standards
Ensuring construction works are delivered safely, on time, and to specification
Close collaboration with engineering, planning, and commercial teams to resolve site issues
Oversight of temporary works, logistics, and site infrastructure
Acting as the senior construction authority interfacing with the Project Director and client leadership
Candidate Profile
We are seeking an experienced, hands-on construction leader with a proven track record on large-scale energy or infrastructure projects.
Essential requirements:
20+ years’ experience delivering construction on large-scale solar power plants and/or major infrastructure projects
Proven experience leading multi-contractor, high-manpower construction environments
Strong background in EPC / EPCM construction delivery
Demonstrable strength in quality management, HSSE implementation, and programme execution
Comfortable operating in challenging site conditions and remote locations
Graduate Engineer qualification (minimum requirement)
Prior experience on solar mega-projects or similar large infrastructure schemes is highly desirable

Contract duration: 2 years (with potential extension)
