Head of Estates Strategy, Compliance & Planning

£75,631 + Car Allowance (£400p/m) + Generous Package & Opportunities
Our client are seeking an experienced and visionary estates leader to develop and deliver a forward-thinking property strategy that supports our clients operational needs today – and for years to come.
In this pivotal role, you’ll own and implement the long-term Estate Strategy for the estate, ensuring the property portfolio is safe, compliant, sustainable, and fit for the demands of modern policing. Working closely with senior leadership, you’ll have strategic oversight of property utilisation, asset management, environmental initiatives, and compliance governance across our clients diverse estate.
What you’ll be doing:
·Leading on the creation and delivery of the Estate Strategy– from space optimisation to acquisition, disposal, and redevelopment.
· Driving Green environmental initiatives, reducing energy use, emissions, and waste, and embedding sustainability into building design and refurbishment.
· Overseeing compliance and governance for all estate-related statutory requirements, ensuring robust safety, testing, and risk management protocols are in place.
· Managing a talented Estates Strategy, Compliance & Planning team – providing visible leadership, clear direction, and professional development.
·Taking strategic budget ownership, ensuring capital and revenue resources deliver maximum impact.
· Acting as subject matter expert –bringing innovation, best practice, and strong stakeholder relationships to shape our clients estate for the future.
What Our Client is looking for:
· A proven estates leader with experience in strategy development, compliance, and asset management at scale.
· Strong track record in environmental and sustainability planning within estates or facilities management.
· Exceptional stakeholder skills– able to influence, engage, and collaborate at senior levels.
· Sound financial acumen and experience managing significant budgets.
· A leader who inspires, motivates, and drives change.
· This is a high-profile role with real impact– your work will help shape the way the client operates, ensuring our clients team shave the right facilities
You will need to be a Chartered Surveyor or equivalent to apply for this role.
