Grafton Banks Finance is working with a growing Law Firm, with offices across the Southeast, to recruit its new Head of Finance. Reporting to the Senior Partner this broad and hands on role will lead the firms finance department, managing a small team. The firm is growing, and this role will provide commercial support to the partners and look to add value through the improvement of processes, controls, and systems. You will be responsible for taking ownership of all the finance functions including billing, credit control, accounts payable, management accounts, financial accounts, overhead budgets and forecast, purchase ledger, banking, payroll, financial systems. Duties and Responsibilities will include: Leading and developing the Finance team. Working with the management team to formulate and implement a robust financial strategy, identifying areas for improvement and opportunities to increase the profitability of the business. Providing financial advice and support to the business to enable sound business decisions to be made. Overseeing the day-to-day running of all aspects of the firm’s accounts. VAT returns and compliance with all aspects of the tax regime. Management of budgets and the budgeting process. Reporting on monthly cash flow, billings, work in progress and debtors as required by the Management Team. Production of monthly management information reports.
