Head of Finance - Construction

£500/day | 6-Month Contract | Northampton (2 Days Onsite)

A leading organisation within the construction sector is seeking an experienced Head of Finance for an initial 6-month contract, working 2 days a week onsite in Northampton.

Reporting directly to the Finance Director, this is a highly commercial and hands-on role, ideal for a seasoned finance professional who thrives in fast-paced environments and is passionate about driving project profitability and margin improvement.

Key Responsibilities:

• Business partner with senior stakeholders to influence commercial decisions
• Lead on project profitability, margin analysis, and commercial reporting
• Provide robust financial insight to support operational and strategic initiatives
• Deliver clear recommendations to improve financial performance at all levels
• Oversee and challenge financial assumptions across a range of high-value projects

Requirements:

• Fully qualified accountant (e.g. ACA, ACCA, CIMA)
• Proven experience in contract/interim Head of Finance or similar senior roles
• Strong commercial acumen, particularly in driving project margins
• Background in construction supplies, distribution, or a similar industry preferred
• Available to start immediately
